Company History 2012 – 2022
Company History 2012 – 2022
2012 – Establishment
In June 2012, a new company, LPGroup Kazakhstan, entered the market.
LPGroup Kazakhstan was initially established as a regional commercial entity, while its Russian counterpart already had a vast distributor network.
Our goal seemed simple: sell products using the proven strategies of our Russian colleagues.
However, we faced a major challenge.
By 2012, Kazakhstan had no companies specializing in engineering solutions for the oil and fuel industry.
Customers not only wanted equipment deliveries but also required consultation, installation, and service maintenance.
We realized that selling equipment without proper engineering support was not feasible. The Kazakhstani market demanded a full-service approach, prompting us to develop our own engineering and technical division.
Although we had engineering support from our Russian headquarters, the difference between the Russian and Kazakhstani markets—including regulations, pricing, and customer needs—was significant.
While Russia operated under GOST standards, Kazakhstan had no established regulations.
At the same time, clients expected turnkey solutions with minimal investment.
2012 – 2014 – Implementation
We began developing our own structure.
During this period, we actively worked on:
✅ Business standards
✅ Local engineering regulations
Today, the result of these efforts is a set of engineering standards, service protocols, and quality benchmarks for the entire fuel industry in Kazakhstan.
2014 – 2016 – In-House Engineering
This phase saw significant growth in our engineering and technical expertise.
We actively:
✅ Recruited and trained skilled specialists
✅ Built a strong, united team
✅ Established the Engineering & Technical Department (ITO)
This department became a key asset and the backbone of our company.
2016 – Large-Scale Projects
Investment in ITO allowed us to secure major contracts, including:
✅ Long-term collaboration with Tengizchevroil
✅ Partnership with KazTransGas to install CNG stations for bus depots
✅ Turnkey projects for leading industry players, such as Sinooil, Gazprom, and Avtogaz Trade
In 2016, we received a major order from Gazprom for CNG station design and installation.
Our stations continue to meet both Russian and Kazakhstani industry standards.
This period also marked our geographic expansion:
✅ We opened a branch in Kyrgyzstan, working with Gazprom and Rosneft
✅ We launched our own service division in Almaty, including:
- Specialized equipment & tools
- Company-owned transport fleet
Additionally, we started a major partnership with GasEnergy to create a large-scale gas retail company.
This was a testament to our deep industry expertise.
2017 – 2018 – Advanced Service Standards
✅ In 2017, we established a Project Sales Department, focusing on large-scale projects.
✅ In 2018, we opened a regional branch & service center in Nur-Sultan.
Key achievements:
✅ Secured a contract for GasEnergy station maintenance
✅ Began servicing Compass fuel stations
✅ Expanded our service department with specialized warehouses in Almaty & Nur-Sultan
2020 – Growth Milestone
Despite the global crisis of 2020, LPGroup Kazakhstan entered a third phase of expansion.
Instead of cutting costs, we:
✅ Hired new specialists
✅ Expanded business segments
✅ Developed a multi-channel approach
By 2020, we:
✅ Held 12 distributor agreements
✅ Offered 10,000+ product SKUs
✅ Divided sales into retail & project divisions
While other companies saw threats, we recognized new opportunities for growth—without relying on government or market support.
